"The Bronze Bow" by Elizabeth George Speare

 I have just recently read "The Bronze Bow" by Elizabeth George Speare. Daniel the main character seeks his fathers revenge, but in return finds Jesus.

Daniel is a thirteen year old boy, who looks for acceptance from the mountain rebels, but later realizes that Rosh the leader is evil. His best friend Joel is his age and they both look forward to defeating the Roman empire and gaining their freedom as Jews.

The setting takes place in 1893, when Jesus was preaching the word to the people of Rome. Capernaum was one of the cities the Romans were taxing which was home to many Jews.

            

I think you should read this book because its exciting, but does Daniel learn to channel his anger or learn how to love? Read the book and you will find out.
